Sunday Service Message
By Apostle Betty Muwanguzi
Main Scripture: Romans 5:6–8
This Sunday, we were reminded of the power and purpose of salvation through Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches us that while we were still weak and powerless, Christ died for us out of His great love. Before His sacrifice, mankind had no strength to overcome sin and iniquity. Humanity was bound by weakness and unable to conquer the world.
Through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, everything changed. What we could not do in our own strength, Christ accomplished for us. Because of Him, we are no longer defeated, but we have become overcomers together with Him. His victory became our victory.
It was necessary for Christ to die on the cross so that we could return to true worship and service unto God. As John 4:24 declares, God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. Salvation reconnects us to God and restores genuine fellowship with Him.
The cross also brought a divine exchange. Jesus took away our old sinful nature and gave us a new life in Him. We are no longer called to live as mere men, but as people transformed into the image of Christ. Ephesians 4:24 reminds us to put on the new self, created in righteousness and true holiness.
Most importantly, salvation restores our original identity in God. Through Christ, we become renewed, empowered, and reconnected to the purpose for which we were created.
May this message remind us to walk daily in the victory, identity, and new life that Jesus Christ purchased for us on the cross.
You are welcome to worship with us every Sunday as we grow together in the Word and power of God.
